1,2-Dichlorobenzene, also known as o-dichlorobenzene, abbreviated as o-DCB, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H4Cl2. It is a colorless and volatile liquid with an aromatic aroma, insoluble in water, and soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, and benzene.
On October 27, 2017, the list of carcinogens released by the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization (WHO) was preliminarily sorted out for reference, and o-dichlorobenzene was included in the list of category 3 carcinogens.
