Colorless, transparent, slightly viscous liquid. The taste is slightly sweet. Easy to absorb moisture. Can be miscible with water, glycerol, acetone, acetic acid, aldehydes, pyridine, and ethanol, slightly soluble in ether, insoluble in benzene, petroleum ether, and oils. There is a risk of combustion and explosion when the melting point comes into contact with open flames, high heat, or oxidants. If exposed to high heat, the pressure inside the container increases, posing a risk of cracking and explosion.
Gas chromatography analysis reagents. Used for measuring calcium oxide in water, as a capacitor dielectric, solvent, and antifreeze agent. Used for manufacturing resins, plasticizers, synthetic fibers, cosmetics, explosives, etc.
