In addition to being used as a solvent, it is mainly used to produce room temperature curing agents for epoxy resins, additives for oil or lubricants, crude oil demulsifiers, fuel oil detergents and dispersants, rubber accelerators, acidic gases, and solvents for various dyes and resins, saponifiers, hardeners, polyamide resins, cation exchange resins, and advanced insulation coatings.
