Flammable. The relative density is 0.9818. The freezing point is 12 ℃. Boiling point 266-267 ℃. Flash point 143 ℃. The self ignition point is 338 ℃. Refractive index 1.4971.

In addition to being used as a solvent, it is mainly used to produce epoxy resin curing agents, rubber additives, emulsifiers, surfactants, lubricant additives, fuel oil detergents and dispersants, gas purifiers, cyanide free electroplating diffusion agents, brighteners, descaling agents, softeners, metal chelating agents, as well as composite polyamide resins and ion exchange resins.
