White crystalline powder, melting point 134-136 ℃. Soluble in water and hot dilute alcohol, insoluble in ethanol, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, and petroleum ether. Not self igniting, moisture resistant. Reacts with carboxylic acids, anhydrides, and halogenated acyl groups to form esters. Reacting with diacids to generate three-dimensional structured polyesters; Reacts with isocyanates to form amino esters; Reacting with diisocyanates to generate three-dimensional polyurethane structures.
Mainly used for preparing polyester heat-resistant insulation paint, used for household appliances (such as air conditioners), universal small motor coils, etc. By replacing a portion of polyols with this product and modifying with imides, a resin for varnish with excellent heat resistance (F-grade – H-grade), flexural flexibility, and thermal impact resistance can be obtained. It can also be used in coatings, pharmaceuticals, insecticides, and organic synthesis intermediates.
